.NET development
.NET, for the systems a business runs on.
.NET suits large, long-lived business applications: strong typing, a mature standard library, first-class tooling, and a support timeline you can plan against. It is the safe choice for the system nobody can afford to have go wrong.
Overview
.NET, the way we do it
.NET is what you choose when the application will be around for a decade and touched by people who have not met each other. It is strongly typed, versioned on a published schedule, and the tooling is genuinely good, which matters more on a system with hundreds of screens than any benchmark does.
It also sits well with organisations already in the Microsoft estate: identity, Office, SQL Server and Azure all connect without a translation layer. Where that is your situation, fighting it is an expensive way to be principled.
What's included
What you actually get
- Large business applications with real permissions and long lifespans
- Strong typing, so whole categories of mistake fail at build time
- Fits an existing Microsoft estate without adapters in between
- Versioned on a published schedule, so upgrades can be planned
- Deployed on Linux or Windows, whichever suits your infrastructure
How we work
Five steps, no surprises
- 01
We talk
A call or a WhatsApp thread. You tell us what is not working; we tell you honestly whether we are the right people.
- 02
We scope it
A written plan with what you get, what it costs and how long it takes. Fixed, so there are no surprises later.
- 03
We build it
You see it as it goes, not at the end. Changes are cheap while it is still being built.
- 04
We put it live
On infrastructure we set up and secure, tested before the launch date.
- 05
We keep it running
Updates, monitoring and someone who answers. Most clients stay on a monthly agreement.
Questions
About .net
Does .NET still mean Windows?
No. Modern .NET runs on Linux and in containers, which is where we normally put it. If your estate is Windows we will work with that instead.
Can you take over an old .NET application?
Usually. We read it first and report what we find, including whether an upgrade path exists or whether the honest answer is a staged replacement.
Is this something BitBee has shipped?
Not yet on the work shown on this site. We list .NET because we build in it and will say so plainly rather than implying a case study that does not exist.
