The apps you would work on are already released and in daily use, with tens of thousands of downloads between them across the App Store and Google Play. We handle their crash reports, so the work is real from the first week.
This is a genuine junior role. You are not expected to arrive knowing our stack. We are looking for someone who finishes what they start, asks for help early, and wants to understand the whole app rather than one screen of it.
01
What we are looking for
- You have built at least one iOS app end to end. A university project, a side project or an internship is fine, as long as it ran on a real device
- Swift, and enough UIKit or SwiftUI to lay out a screen independently
- You can read an API contract and connect a screen to it
- Arabic and English, since our apps ship in both and right-to-left layout is part of the design from the start
- You ask for help early rather than working around a problem for days
02
What you would actually do
- Build screens on apps that already have users, starting with lower-risk work
- Fix crashes reported by users, with a senior engineer reviewing every pull request
- Lay out every screen in Arabic as well as English, right-to-left included
- Test on real devices before anything reaches TestFlight
- Take part in releases, so you learn how a build reaches the stores
How hiring works
Four steps, with a reply at every one
- 01
A message
You send your application: what you have built, what you want to build next, and a link if there is one. We read every application and reply to all of them.
- 02
A conversation
Forty-five minutes with the people you would work with, about how you approached something you have built.
- 03
Something practical
A small, time-boxed piece of real work. If it takes more than an evening, we pay for it.
- 04
An offer
Salary, level and start date in writing, with the reasoning behind the figure. If the answer is no, we tell you that and why.
